Our Promise to the Community

Our goal is to make primary care and dental care more available for more people. Wake Health's staff does this by locating in areas of highest need and offering services such as outreach clinics, Spanish translation, and assistance with free prescriptions. We have discounts for the uninsured, and last year, we provided over $2 million in medical and dental care to people who could afford to pay.

Each of our eight sites strives to bring primary and preventive care to underserved areas. Fifty-one percent of our board is patients, and they help guide us toward where we are needed most. Our costs of care rank among the lowest, and we reduce the need for more expensive emergency room, in-patient and specialty care, saving billions for taxpayers nationwide.
