James Hartye, MD, Family Medicine Dr. Hartye joined Wake Health in July, 1990. He received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University (Villanova, PA) in 1973 and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School (Nashville, TN) in 1977. Dr. Hartye completed a two-year residency in Family Medicine at Duke University Medical Center (Durham, NC) in 1979 and a one-year residency in Family Medicine at Central Texas Medical Foundation (Austin, TX) in 1980. He served as Medical Director from 1990 – 1995, and again as Interim Medical Director in 2003. Dr. Hartye is board certified in Family Medicine.
Kate Henderson, Family Nurse Practitioner Kathryn M. Henderson, MPH, MSN, FNP
Kathryn joined Wake Health in July, 2009. She received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Health from Colorado State University (Ft. Collins, CO) in 2000. Kathryn received her Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from the George Washington University (Washington, DC) in 2006. She also received her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) in 2008. Kathryn is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Catherine Thrash, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Catherine A. Thrash, LCSW, LCAS
Catherine joined Wake Health in August, 2004. She received her Masters degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University (Starkville, MS) in 1984. Catherine received her Master of Social Work degree from Delaware State University (Dover, DE) in 1999. She became licensed in the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2003 and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in 2005.
