Our Services

General Primary Care

We believe in treating the whole person and the whole family—from newborns to grandparents.  Our  family physicians, pediatricians, dentists, nurses, social workers and support staff offer compassionate care at every stage of life…from babies to seniors, through the ups and downs of life, job or no job, insurance or no insurance.

We use an integrative healthcare model that includes wraparound services such as dentistry and free prescriptions. Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialists  address mental, emotional and socioeconomic issues that affect health.

Behavioral Health

To promote the well-being of our patients, we use a collaborative model of treatment that interweaves primary care services and behavioral healthcare. Those services include case management, patient education, substance abuse assessment, and solution-focused counseling for adults, children and families.

Pediatrics

Our pediatric staff offers services at New Bern Ridge Pediatrics and Family Dental Center. Social Worker Services are also available for developmental screenings and connection to other community resources.

Women’s Health

Our physicians, Physician Assistants, and Family Nurse Practitioners offer PAP and breast exams, mammogram referrals, bone density referrals, as well as family planning counseling.

Children’s Dental

New Bern Ridge Family Dental Center offers services to all children age 0-19 and strongly urges that children see a dentist  "from the first tooth"--by age 1, and no later than age 2.  Dental disease is the #1 disease in children, causing lifelong problems—but is so preventable!

Patient Education

Education is key to the  prevention and management of disease.  A Registered Dietician offers nutritional counseling  through a Diabetes Education Program certified by the American Diabetes Association.

Healthcare for the Homeless

Primary care and substance abuse services are available to people experiencing homelessness through our Horizon Healthcare for the Homeless program. .Men, women, and children are welcome. Wake Health Services participates in the Wake County Continuum of Care Collaboration, the Wake County Homeless Working Group, the Wake County Housing and Homeless Coalition, and the North Carolina Coalition to End Homelessness. We are a White Flag partner, assisting the homeless who need safe shelter in extreme weather.

Drug Assistance Program

On-site support staff can assist with accessing FREE prescriptions for many commonly prescribed medications.

On-site lab

On site lab services are available at many sites for your convenience, allowing efficient turnaround of results  for diagnosis.

On-site referrals to Specialty Providers & Radiology

Through a partnership with Project Access, Wake Health is connected to a network of specialists who also offer discounts on their fees for the uninsured based family size and income.  If you require specialty care, we can coordinate this care with the appropriate specialist.

Support Services
